Chukchi Pride Huskies is an ethical style breeding program who are typically known for producing some of the best Siberian Husky puppies in the industry. We are based in the Georgian Bay area and we have been in operation since 2014. We take a great sense of pride in terms of producing some of the most unique, healthy, and cognitively sound Siberian Husky pups in all of Ontario. We do so in the most ethical manner where we always put the dog’s care and well-being first and foremost. This is an approach we are seeing less and less in an industry where far too many people are far more concerned with seeing the profit-returns from their breeding efforts and thus tend to focus more on “quantity” versus “quality”. We breed our females a maximum of four times, and only begin to once they have turned two to two and a half years old. We assure that they are rested for atleast a year in between each litter as to not put them through too much physical “wear and tear”. All our pups are fed an on an exclusive raw diet, which helps to make our puppies stand out all the more when compared to the pups of the average breeder. We make sure we keep all of our pups until a minimum of 8 weeks old, before they go off to their new forever homes. These adoption applicants are interviewed and screened in a friendly manner over the phone or in person before being deemed fit for adoption.  This is something we take quite seriously!

So it is without further ado I proudly present to you Chukchi Pride Huskies’ first ever litter of Shepskies. This is the first litter from our solid black, long-haired CKC registered, East German Shepherd Dam “Lady” crossed with our proven breeder Siberian Husky Sires “Logan”. The Dam and Sire are both dogs that we’re bred and produced within the Chukchi Pride program, which means these pups are the results of fusing two different bloodlines to create a blend of excellent genetics and temperament. They are third generation and are unlike any other puppies I have ever produced or seen. My thought process before deciding to go this route was quite simple and straightforward. Both these parents came from well thought out conceptions with great personality and striking appearances on both sides of the grandparents. Any good breeding program thrives on the principle that genetic adversity is always a positive direction to go in as it increases the odds of creating the strongest gene-pool. With many pure bred dogs, there arises greater risks involved when the gene-pool becomes shallower and shallower. The “Shepsky” hybrid is a popular breed with an increasing amount of new enthusiasts, however it is my belief that when most of these attempts happen, they are by novice breeders with poorly selected progenitors. This was absolutely not the case here! As was the contrary, as stated before both parents were produced by myself which means I had very strong inclinations that the results would no-doubt be a dog with a a dark and almost “wolf-like” profile that can be seen in this litter of pups. With the potential for some blue eyed pups as well. They would carry the loveable traits of both Husky Father and their German Shepherd mother. Some of these traits that you might expect from these pups are for them to be very loyal, smart, fast, agile, work-driven, show great perseverance/endurance, strong conformation, great bite, protectiveness and no doubt have a very playful demeanor.

The pups were born on September 9th, 2021. There are 4 males and 2 females. Their mother “Lady” has been doing a fantastic job taking care of them and whelping them. They are growing at incredible rates and will be ready to go to their new forever homes on November 4th, 2021.
